Aluminium windows have come to the forefront in terms of style and practicality for homes around the UK. While PVC might still be the most popular option for windows and timber the most traditional, many designers are now going with aluminium for window frames.

Aluminium frames also offer one of the best rates of insulation on the market. That’s because there’s no chance that they expand and contract the way timber does and PVC can do. Being so stable means there are no gaps or breaks around the window that appear in different weather conditions.
And then there’s the maintenance – like PVC there’s very little to do to keep aluminium windows looking great. They don’t need painting or staining to make them weatherproof and there’s no worry about rust or corrosion. They don’t rot, peel or flake and are easy to simply wash down if there is some dust or debris sticking to them.
